Lawyers scrum down for Modus' Breakfast with Jase Event
Lawyers scrum down behind rugby stars for disadvantaged children
MFG Solicitors will sponsor “A Full English Breakfast with Jase” on Friday, January 23, in the Warriors’ new £8 million Slick Stand at Sixways Stadium and hopes to attract up to 200 business leaders from across the West Midlands.
The firm is getting behind the charity networking breakfast with former British Lion Jason Leonard OBE that aims to raise funds for disadvantaged children and young people.
Warriors scrum-half Matt Powell is organising the event in conjunction with Warriors’ official creative design company, Modus Creative, to raise money for the Wooden Spoon charity.
Also speaking at the event is inspirational former SAS Captain Floyd Woodrow MBE DCM (Parachute Regiment) to talk about “staying in front of the competition in both a battle arena and in business”.
It will be the first major event staged in the Warriors Business Club, which was launched in conjunction with Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce.
MFG partner Iain Morrison said: “It will be an excellent opportunity to network in a congenial atmosphere. Jason will be answering questions about his career, England rugby, and also his transition from rugby to business – something that is of specific interest to Matt Powell.”
Matt is looking at his own self development and broadening his horizons away from rugby and is working with Modus on this event with the full support of the management team at Warriors and Professional Rugby Players’ Association.
“Rugby has been main focus my life but now I am preparing the ground for a business career, although my contract at the Warriors has another season to run,” said Powell.
“I am delighted to get this opportunity from Modus and MFG Solicitors to launch an event that will benefit disadvantaged children and young people.”
Tickets for the event, which begins at 7.30am, are available from Matt Powell on 01905 731529 or email matt@moduscreative.co.uk
